Our take

Samsung's Buds2 Pro are packed with features and rich sound.

Alright, so I got my hands on the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro, and I gotta say, they’re pretty solid. The sound quality is what really stands out. It’s rich, clear, and the bass is just right — not that over-the-top kind that makes your ears feel like they’re in a drum. For everyday listening, these do a pretty great job. But hey, if you’re expecting some mind-blowing audiophile experience, you might need to temper those expectations a bit.

Comfort-wise, these buds are a win. They’re small, light, and don’t feel like they’re trying to dig into your ears. I’ve worn them for a couple of hours at a stretch, and they didn’t make my ears scream for mercy. The fit is snug, yet comfortable, so they’re not gonna fall out if you’re on a jog or something. But, if you have particularly small ears, you might want to try them out first, just to be sure they don’t feel awkward.

Now, about the noise cancellation — it’s good, but not perfect. If you’re in a busy coffee shop, it’ll cut out a lot of the chatter, but don’t expect it to completely silence a crying baby or a loud subway. For blocking out the hum of an office or some low-level noise, they’ll do the trick. Transparency mode is another handy feature, letting in just enough of the outside world when you need it, which is cool if you’re walking around and need to be aware of your surroundings.

The battery life is decent but not amazing. You’ll get about five hours on a single charge with noise cancellation on, and the case gives you a couple more charges. If you’re planning on using them all day without a break, you might find yourself reaching for that charger a bit sooner than you’d like. But for regular use, it's probably not gonna be a deal-breaker. The case itself is compact, which is nice, but I wish it had a bit more juice.

One thing to keep in mind is that these buds work best with Samsung devices. You’ll get the full feature set if you’re paired with a Samsung phone, but some features might be limited on other devices. It’s not a huge deal if you’re not a Samsung user, but it’s something to consider if you want to squeeze every bit of functionality out of them. Overall, they’re a solid choice if you’re in the market for some quality earbuds that won’t break the bank, especially if you’re already in the Samsung ecosystem.
